MY MORNING TEA ROUTINE

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day.

So, my morning tea routine. I love tea. You probably have watched many of my videos where I was drinking a cup of delicious tea or you just might have heard me talk/write about it. Tea is life to me. There's something so refreshing about tea that makes me so happy. I get giddy whenever I make myself a cup of tea. It's almost like I live for that moment.

Each morning that I walk into the kitchen and brew myself a pot of tea, the day is set off right. I love a variety of teas and I don't drink caffeinated teas. My current favorite pot is the Portobelo kettle. It's so amazing. I like how the alarm goes off when my tea is boiling. It whistles so loudly that I jump off my computer to turn off the stove.I found a similar pot that you can check out on Amazon:https://amzn.to/2FskeS1

This is Lily's 2 Quart Stainless Steel whistling kettle. It's amazing. Use the link above the picture to check it out.

Taking the time to make myself some mint  or ginger tea, makes me feel like I matter. Lol... It may sound corny to you but it's my corny lol.. I make these teas from scratch and I feel like that adds a special touch to my experience. Do you ever invest the time to meet your own needs? Like being in the moment with a cup of your favorite tea in hand, while you indulge in your best fantasy? I do that. I find myself thinking about Breckenridge, Colorado. I want to visit the Breckenridge Resort this winter. I think it will be amazing. I have already started telling my kids about the snow and mountains that will be there, when we get there lol...

Life is good when you do the little things that make you feel good. My encouragement for you is to start spending time with you. For me, it is mindfully making myself a cup of  tea and enjoying it too.

Thank you for reading my blog today.

You're amazing!

With gratitude,

Maryam

MY EXPERIENCE WITH ASIAN SNACKS|| ASIAN SNACKS REVIEW

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day! Thank you for stopping by.

So, I love food. You will hear me say that many times and that's because I do. Food is not great for survival, it's a cultural celebration. For me, food speaks to me about the culture of the people the food came from. Food is another way to express the richness of a culture and their values. It tells the stories of generations past and experiences had. I love food. Lol... I just said it again.

My picky eater

What I really love about my love for food is that I can also cook food. I am always checking out different recipes and experimenting in my kitchen. I freaking love food. Anyways, this blog is about my experience with Asian food.

A few days ago, my children and I visited an Asian Farmer's Market in Morrow, Georgia. The market is called Nam Dae Mun. It's a very big market with a variety of foods and groceries displayed across the vast floor. My intention was to buy a bunch of Asian snacks, actually I intended to buy some Korean snacks but ended up with some Japanese yummy snacks instead. While walking about the store looking for snacks, I came across awhole isle of yummy looking candies and I had to get some of them. We got some coffee candy, watermelon gummies, some peach gummies, mango marshmallows, some sesame seed cookies and two bags of chips.

My foodie

My son is a picky eater but I encourage him to try new foods. My daughter on the other hand, is a foodie and would fight for her food lol. She likes food like me. I want my children to be vast in their experience of the world and eat foods from different cultures. I hope that as we continue to share our experiences, we inspire others to try new foods.

To watch our reactions, please watch this video👇

I really liked all the snacks we got. I will be going back to get some more later. Trying foods from different cultures is fun and exciting. I get to give my taste buds a journey through time and cultures. It is truly amazing. Have you ever tried Asian snacks, what's your favorite snack? Please recommend in comment below.

MY SHOPPING BUDGET WAS $20|| ROSS STORES FAYETTEVILLE

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're having a great day and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day! Thank you for checking out my blog today.

So, I went shopping on a budget a couple of days ago, at Ross Stores. I thought it was a fun idea to film. I wanted to buy a full outfit on a $20 budget at Ross. Ross Stores has a variety of clothes and pieces you can buy on any budget. My idea was to do something different, perhaps the video could be fun and inspiring. I purchased a pair of camo shorts and a beautiful floral blouse.

These camo shorts are amazing. When I came across them at the Ross Stores, Fayetteville, I felt compelled to buy them. I've never had a pair of camo shorts before but now I do. Lol... I was going to pair them up with the floral blouse I found at the store.

Life is full of adventures and opportunities, my goal is to be aware and available for opportunities that life throws my way.
How about that fierce look 😆 lol.

This beautiful floral blouse caught my attention at Ross and I couldn't resist it. I had to buy it lol. The idea was to pair it up with the camo shorts. But I soon realized that camo and floral don't go together.     However, it just so happened that I had the perfect pieces to pair each piece with, waiting at home.

The camo shorts go well with a green tank top or t-shirt. I happened to have the perfect tank top for my new favorite shorts. My floral blouse also had the perfect piece to pair with. My blue ripped jeans look great paired up with my new favorite floral blouse.

I enjoyed taking my online friends shopping with me. Watch the video here:

Thank you for being a part of my world. You're freaking amazing!

With gratitude,

Maryam

STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT THE TITLE|| EXCERPTS FROM MY NEW BOOK

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for joining me.

So, I love writing and I feel the pull to put something together that will inspire millions all over the world. Today, I wanted to share an excerpt of my upcoming book. It is not finished yet but I know it will get finished. I hope this excerpt blesses you and brings meaning and relief to your storm.

I am not quite sure what my title will be yet, but here we go!

"Challenges and storms only come to introduce you to your Heavenly Father who is with you and within you.

The bigger the challenge, the sweeter the breakthrough. In this world of senses, it is easy to quit when the odds and experts are against you. But I'm here to tell you that the odds and experts actually help you find your true power; the life force within you. God is within you.

It doesn't matter what the difficulty is, it doesn't matter what the challenge. If you can cry out to God and believe that God is even right now, for you, aiding you, you will surely see a victory. I have made a decision that I'm not going to preach or talk about what I haven't tested and seen in my experience.

Leaning on God and surrendering everything to His full control, will guaranty your victory. God has ways and knowledge that your limited self cannot comprehend not are you equipped to fully grasp. Will you let the Omnipresent Omniscient and Omnipotent Presence of God work for you today? This is a question you have to answer honestly..."

I hope these few words got you thinking on a deeper level.

I have more to come but in the main time, become aware of God's presence with you now!

Thank you for reading my blog.

With gratitude,

Maryam

MY DAUGHTER DREW CRAYONS ALL OVER THE WALLS|| MAGIC ERACER REVIEW

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy? Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day! Thank you all for checking out my blog today.

A few days ago, my sweet baby; Zoe drew crayons all over the house. I tried to clean it up with every cleaning product I have in the house but nothing worked. I mean, I scrubbed till my hand was aching but it didn't work. The paint was coming off the wall and I had to stop and think. I thought surely the crayon makers must have thought of something that could clean it off the wall, should any child decide to go on a coloring spree.

Then the idea came to ask my sweet and amazing mommy subscribers for help. And help came!!!! I am so grateful for my team of support. They have my back! There were a ton of suggestions sent to me.

The first picture you saw has crayon marks all over my wall. In this picture, the marks are not there anymore. Magic Eracer did it!

Mayonnaise was one of many suggestions given and I so happened to have a jar in my fridge. I thought, if they suggested this, then it must work. Well, I tried it but it didn't work. The instruction was to put a generous amount on the crayon lines and let seat for 15 minutes and then clean with a wet rag. I left it for a little bit longer than 15 minutes. I wanted it to really work. Well, it didn't.

I filmed another video sharing my experience with Mayonnaise and how it didn't work. Thereafter, I got another suggestion but this time, almost all the mamas suggested Magic Eracer. Prior to this event, I had not thought of Magic Eracer, neither had I ever used it.

I didn't even know what Magic Eracer looked like or what it was used for. Until about 3 days ago. I decided to go to the store and purchase one. I went to Dollar General and bought their brand of Magic Eracer. Apparently, any brand works. The store brands are usually cheaper. Most people may buy Mr. Clean Magic Eracer; which is fine and it costs a littler more than store brands. I would like to add that any brand works.

Anyways, I came home and went to work on cleaning my walls. This was after convincing my son that the Magic Eracer is  not his. For some reason, my kids think that everything that comes in a box must be for them. They love opening presents like mama😆.

                                                               Magic Eracer is bae 😘

The Magic Eracer worked magic on my walls and I couldn't wait to share it with you all. If my kids go crazy again, I already have an answer! Magic Eracer for the win!!!

I have to thank the inventors of Magic Eracer. Thank you for considering mamas like me, who are raising geniuses; to whom everything is paper to express their gifts lol.

Thank you for reading my blog today.

I hope you have the most amazing day yet!

With gratitude,

WHEN THINGS DON'T MAKE SENSE

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for being a part of my joyful world.

Have you ever experienced a season where everything didn't make sense? Are you currently experiencing a season where everything doesn't make sense? If you have, chances are you got out of it and learned some valuable lessons that are now gems that you cherish and can share with others who are currently going through that type of season. Today's post is about trusting and surrendering to God when things don't make sense.

There are times in life when everything don't make sense anymore. Times when you put in all the right actions and take the right steps and implement the right advice but nothing seems to work like you'd like. For most people, at this point is where they give up. In fact, most people quit at the first sight of an adversity but you are NOT most people. I am NOT most people. I have discovered in my experience, that when things don't make sense is when I need to rely completely on God. After all, He lives outside of the realm of the senses. God is good. Everything He does is perfect. If we can learn to trust God in the season of obscurity, we will soon realize that every obstacle is an opportunity for God to defy our senses and perform a miracle.

I constantly find myself striving to do more, be more and give more, to the point where I get so tired and worn out and angry. My anger stems from one of two things; not resting when am tired or not getting what I expected. My goal now is to live life fully aware of how I am feeling. I want to rest when I need rest and I want to give when I want to but I can't be compulsive to the point of breaking.

It is always good to give our best to whatever God has placed in our hands. However, let's not fall into the trap of  being too hard on ourselves, when we don't get the result we expected our actions to produce. After all, God is the one who brings the harvest. We can only do so much with our limited energy but God can do above and beyond what we could ever imagine or dream of, if we but surrender.

I guess, what I'm trying to say is we need to learn to surrender to God more often and willingly. Even while we are giving our best to every project we may have, let's still be conscious of God's unlimited ability to multiply every effort we put towards achieving our goals.

I choose to always be conscious of God's presence and grace. I choose to rely on God's wisdom when I can't make sense of what is happening around me. One thing remains, He will NEVER fail!

I encourage you today, no matter what the situation, no matter what the circumstance, be encouraged and realize that God is always with you and ready to help you as you acknowledge His Omnipresent Omnipotence. After all, God is Omniscient. He has all the knowledge and wisdom. There's nothing that God can't see us through.

Thank you for reading my blog today.

With gratitude,

Maryam

FIVE TIPS TO YOUR FITNESS GOAL

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're doing great and not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day! Thank you for checking out my blog today.

It's a new day and I am so thankful for the blessings of God. The grace to stay fit and be in good health is a blessing that I will forever be grateful to God for. It is my joy and privilege to share five of my favorite tips with you today.

1. Park A Little Farther Than Usual

I used to fight for spots close to the door at the grocery store or places I go to. I understand the convenience to go quickly in and out of a place without having to wait. However, if you're trying to stay active and live a healthier lifestyle, I encourage you to park a little farther away from the door. Most people don't compete for the parking spots that are farther away because of the effort it takes to walk to the store. For someone whose goal it is to lose weight and live healthier, you know that is the real gem. Your metabolism increases as your activity level increases. High metabolism is what breaks down fats and carbs that lead to overweight.

2. Walk Back and Forth To The Kitchen or Dining Area

When we are at home, it is normal for us to want to sit down and be sedentary. We want our comfort such as eat conveniently on the couch and use the remote. We tend to sit on one spot for hours. To break this bad habit, we could get up and walk back and forth to the kitchen or dining area 10x per day. The goal is to get yourself used to getting up and moving in your house. Remember every step makes a difference.

3. Use Your Steps In Your House

If you live in a duplex or split level home, that's your opportunity to get fit. Sometimes it is hard to go up the  stairs, trust me, I understand. But if your goal is to be active, try going up and down the stairs 5X per day. You don't have to run up the stairs. A gentle walk up the steps will do you good.

4. Cut Soda And Replace It With Fruit Juice

Soda doesn't have any dietary value. It is full of sugar and not good for your health. You can simply try cutting down the amount you take per day and replace it with a healthier drink such as water or fruit juice over time. You will feel the difference in your body when you cut soda off.

5. Relax

I know some of the points I have shared may be a little overwhelming to follow. However, getting in shape shouldn't scare you. Don't overwhelm yourself with the thought of losing weight so much, that you begin to resent yourself. You should be excited about the steps you're taking and keep your eyes on your goal, with excitement, that you will get there.

I hope this helps you.

Have a pleasant day.

With gratitude,

Maryam

FOCUS IS EVERYTHING IF YOU MUST SUCCEED

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day, today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day!

Happy Labor Day my people! I hope you're spending it with those you love.

Get my accessories here:www.maryamsjoyfullifeapparel.com

Today, I want to share a topic that helps me everyday of my life. I believe that this will help you too. See, in life, we are constantly being bombarded with signs and signals and these things have the power to control us if we let them. We have to know how not to let them control us. Our ability to focus is very powerful.

Focus is power. Where your focus goes, your energy flows and where your energy flows, there's growth and expansion. You want to make sure that you're only fueling what you want with your energy and that includes the type of thoughts you let yourself dwell on.

The sun gives vitality and strength to plant life on earth. Without the sun, we won't have warmth and life as we know it, would not exist. The sun is the number one and most vital source of energy and life on this planet. You're the sun of your world. If you pour your energy on people and things you don't like, you are empowering them to do you harm. I encourage you and me to become aware of where we focus our attention. If it doesn't feel good, if it brings you fear and constriction, it's not right. Focus on things and people who bring you joy and excitement.

Don't focus on things that you want to change, focus on the thing you want, that is the change. If you want a baby, focus on a baby not the absence of a baby. If you want money, don't focus on poverty. The trick of the enemy is to make you focus on the things that are going wrong or missing. Being that we are vibratory beings, your focus determines the state of mind you're in and that in turn, becomes your point of attraction. If you allow yourself to focus on what is wrong with you, you feel bad about yourself and when you do, you attract people and circumstances that will make you to keep feeling bad.

I want to feel good all the time because feeling good is amazing! I have come to the awareness that when I am not feeling good, it's because I am focusing on negative thoughts. To feel good, my thoughts have to be positive ones. So, I shift my focus to positive thoughts. You can do this by giving thanks for the things that are going right in your life. You cannot be grateful and feel bad at the same. If you can't seem to find anything to be thankful for; "you're alive!" That is a great place to start. While you still have breath in you, IT AIN'T OVER!

I hope this inspired you because it sure inspired me.

Have an amazing day!

With gratitude,

Maryam

IT IS NATIONAL CHEESE PIZZA DAY

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life.

Thank you for checking out my blog today.

So, today is National Cheese Pizza Day! I just found out about it. My kids' favorite pizza is Pepperoni. I love Pepperoni pizza too. There are days when I crave pizza and there are days I don't. Although pizza is delicious, it also depends on where you purchase it from. My favorite place to buy is at Papa John's.

I freaking love their pizza! The crust is delicious and the pizza is amazing. My kids and I like to visit Shaq O'neal's location in Lovejoy, Georgia. It's a drive-through location and my order is usually ready within 15-20 minutes. The staff over there are amazing! Check them out today, if you live in the area.

Today, I just wanted to celebrate National Pizza Day by sharing it on my blog.

Enjoy a slice today!

With gratitude,

Maryam
