Today, I want to share a devotional I just completed with you guys. It is by Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation Church.

"When you're marked you must know that God anointed HIS creation, not YOUR creation. Because you are God's masterpiece, created in His image, He wants to use you exactly how you are. God cannot bless who you pretend to be, but He desires to bless who He created you to be. When we begin to operate out of insecurities or go through life without God's direction, we can easily fall into comparison. Copycat callings are not cute and have 0% effectiveness.

You cannot conform to anyone else's idea of purpose. When David goes to fight Goliath he is offered someone else's armor and eventually declines because it was not fit for him. God had already given David victory in his situation and prepared five stones and the infamous slingshot for David to slay the giant, but what would have happened if David chose to fight a battle using someone else's weapons? The entire Trajectory of his purpose would have been changed!"

God has given you just what you need to be all that He has designed you to be. Whatever your desires and needs, be rest assured that you always have all you need to meet every need.

REFLECTING ON THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

The month of October has been an eventful month for me. From officially starting my new remote position to prayer for my people at 6:00 AM in the morning. It's really been quite the month. I also had the opportunity to attend an amazing conference last weekend. I am feeling very empowered right now.

The world wants and expects women like me, who have kids and doing it all for their kids to feel broken and down but I refuse that demon. I have completely stayed focused on the Lord in this season and will continue to stay focused on the Lord. I want to encourage you to do the same. God won't fail you EVER! My life is a living proof of that. I have risen up from the ashes and keep rising up. I see the Lord doing amazing things and I'm all for it. I am embracing the blessings of God and I live each day expecting overflow of God's blessings. 

I am determined to keep looking up and expecting the good to flood my life. It's not easy but God's grace and mercy make it easy. Prayer is my oxygen. I pray when things are fine and I pray when things are not. The Bible tells us to pray without ceasing and that's been my lifestyle. I don't intend to stop it now. This world is full of wickedness but I serve a father who is greater than wickedness. God is bigger than every bastard devil!

My kids and I also started a new tradition. We bought pumpkins and the kids actually selected the pumpkins themselves. I enjoyed watching them pick out their own pumpkins. It was a very sweet sight to experience. I am so grateful to God for His protection over me and my children.

For this reason, I pray always. If you ever come around me in the public, don't be surprised to hear me speaking in tongues lol. That's how I roll.

I have so much gratitude to offer to God for this month of October. We are about to hit November! I am ready!!

WHAT TO DO WHILE YOU PRAY

 

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you are all having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for joining me. 

When you are going through stuff and  you're around "Christians," it is normal to hear them say "just pray about it." As simple and as cliché this may be, it is a profound expression. See, in my life, I have gone through storms and I still am going through storms but the storms won't prevail. The reason why I am very confident about that is this: God can NEVER fail! When you approach God with a confident assurance that your prayers will be answered, you should be rest assured that they will be answered. That confident assurance is your "answered prayer," right there.

Here's what you do after every prayer session, proceed with confidence. Live your life like all your pains are gone. Give thanks for the miracle. Give thanks for the blessing. I promise you, after you do this, you will start feeling strong and unbeatable in the midst of the storm. When you're in this frame of mind, everything that the enemies intended to hurt you, won't! Every trap the enemies set, they will fall into it. You will witness the fall of the enemies each time but it will not come near you.

I pray for you, God will NOT desert you. You're covered under the shadow of God's wings.

Proceed with confidence. Your Heavenly father is for you!

WHEN YOU TRUST GOD, IT DOESN'T MEAN STORMS WON'T RISE

Everyone of us goes through stuff. Majority of people allow the storms to drown them. The few who keep pressing meet with breakthroughs. Let me tell you about what God can and will do. It is a given that storms will rise. We were never meant to face the storms alone. God is always there for us through the storms. Cry out to God if you have to, shout out if you have to but whatever you do, don't accept the situation. God is always there but we need to trust God and move confidently in the direction of our dreams.

Storms are not meant to kill us but grow us. God is always faithful! No matter what the weather, no matter what the situation, trust in God always. Do all you can with what you have. 

I pray that the Lord helps you and keeps you safe.

Here's a message from Pastor Paul Enenche that blessed me. I would like to share it with with you. He talked about keeping your eyes on God always. When you fix your eyes on the Lord, you're helped and protected. When you keep your eyes on God., you're safe and preserved. Here are the points he shared.

1. To look up to God is to be lifted in life. Psalm 34 vs. 5

2. To look up to God is to lay hold of help. To look away from God is to lose grip of help. Help exists with God. Hebrews 4: 16 The Throne of God is the depot of help.

3. To look up to God is to be shielded and preserved from danger and disaster in life. Preservation is possible when we look to God. Looking away from God makes vulnerability inevitable. Never be distracted by the storms of life to take your focus off God.  The things that happen want you to look away from God and at the trouble. Psalm 46:2 and Matthew 14:29

No matter what the situation, no matter the circumstance, no matter the trouble, always fix your focus on God.

Today, make up your mind that you're not going to allow negativity rule over you. Make up your mind that you're going to let God fill your consciousness with power. No matter how dark your life may be right now, a little bit of light will chase the darkness out. You have light within you. Focus on it. Do it little by little. Ask the Angels around you to fill you up with light. There are angels around you always. Speak to the Angels and ask them to show up for you and they will.

The world wants you to feel helpless and hopeless. The world is helpless and hopeless. You, however, are surrounded. You have the power the speak over your life. Do it and watch things transform in your life. I pray for you today, may God show you mercy in Jesus Name. Amen!

LESSONS OF LIFE MY CHILDREN TEACH ME

So, I'm a mom. I have two amazing kids who teach me more about life than I could ever learn anywhere else. Life with them is an adventure and everyday is a new experience. My son is a music lover. He loves his guitar. I ask him to play me some music and he is delighted to play and sing to me. I love him and am amazed at his wisdom and strength. My daughter is a dancer and an act. She loves to dance and demonstrate movements that people and animals make. She is fun. Both my kids are an experience by themselves. They love to play together and when they fight, you'd think they never get along. I love how fast and easy they get along after a fight. It's so sweet to watch. I wish adults would be more like children. When there's a fight, take a break and then let it go. 

So, Le'Veon and Zozo have been calling themselves doctors for a while. I hear Le'Veon say "mama I'm Doctor Le'Veon." And I say, "yes baby, you are Doctor Le'veon." I see the joy in him when I agree with him. Then Zozo comes along and says "I am Doctor Zozo." Of course I say "yes baby, you're Doctor Zozo." Zoe lights up with a big smile. I just love it! 

I thought about getting them a doctor play set to practice with. I found  the perfect set for girls. It came in pink. Here's the link I got it from: https://amzn.to/2GX9zQ1 Check it out.

The picture above is a screenshot of the product. It has many pieces and they are safe for kids 2 years and above. Zoe loves this play set. Of course Le'Veon was Zoe's first patient. It was hilarious to watch. After Levy got a checkup, it seemed like the prescription was an unending use of plaster stickers on Levy's leg. Zoe kept placing stickers on Le'Veon and it was hilarious. Levy of course got tired of the whole thing and wanted it to stop.

It is really fun watching my kids play and interact with different educational toys and each other. They are so present in the moment, that the future is irrelevant. We need to be more childlike. Pour our hearts to whatever we are doing in the present and let everything else go. I believe that as we do this, we save ourselves from unnecessary worries and stress.

DON'T LET UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS GIVE YOU A STROKE

Have you ever allowed expectations to scare or intimidate you? Have you ever heard someone or a group of people say multiple things that they expect from you or of you and you get so scared and wonder why could anyone ever expect so much of you? I have been there and still am going through it.

First, don't let anyone make you feel like you have to show up for them at your own risk. Don't ever allow other people's unrealistic expectations make you loose sleep. You are human, you will make mistakes. You will disappoint people. You will step on people's toes whether intentionally or unintentionally it will happen. Don't allow that steal your joy. Make a decision to do and give your best and try to follow through. However, when you fail to meet their expectations, don't fret or think that life is over because it ain't. You are human and you also have expectations, many people have failed you and they are going to fail you.

 There are so many people out there who would rather you meet all their needs than yours. If you have been kind enough to always be there for them and give them all that they require of you. When you're not able to be who they want you to be anymore, they start putting you down and treating you bad. 

Such people are the reason why you do your best and let the rest go. God will not fault you for refusing to be used or manipulated. God still loves you. There are so many people out there who would appreciate the good you do for them. Don't waste your good on someone or people who will NEVER appreciate you or the good you do. This is not to say to stop helping them completely. You can still help them but don't stretch yourself thin for them.

I pray that God delivers you and me from unrealistic expectations in Jesus. Amen!!

FALL IS KIND OF MY FAVORITE SEASON

We are in fall and I am loving it. I am loving it because the leaves are golden and the trees are shedding their leaves preparing for the spring. When you look at how hard the trees are shedding, you might be tempted to think that they may never gain back their leaves but you and I know that when spring rolls around, the trees would be blooming and looking brand new.

This kinda makes me think about life and the different seasons we experience. When the season we are in is not favorable, we are mostly tempted to think that it would always remain that way. But I am here with a word from Heaven. Your current season of hard times won't last always. You're actually getting prepared for something far more amazing than you've ever experienced before. You, just don't give up. The enemy wants us to quit, each time there's a challenge we have to face, but I know that I am talking to warriors who will not quit.

Fix your eyes on the Lord, know that you are surrounded. There's no difficulty too hard for your God to handle. Just give it all to God. Surrender completely and watch God turn every mess into a MIRACLE!

I pray that God shows you mercy and grants all of your heart desires in Jesus Name. Amen!
