SOMETHING AMAZING HAPPENED WHEN I WAS PREPARING

Hello wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy? Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for checking out my blog today.

It's been very cold in Georgia the past two weeks. Each morning, the temperature has been between 25- 40 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have kids who go to school in the morning, you will know that it's not fun getting out in that cold. Well, last week, it was below freezing and very windy on Monday morning. Le'Veon had school but I knew better than to get my baby out there in such a weather. I wanted to still take him to school in spite of the weather  but my car had other plans. Even my battery was too cold to pick up that morning. I needed someone to help jump off my car. So, I was blessed to see one of neighbors out at their car that morning. I asked her to help jump me off and she did. While I was talking to her, I came to find out she was an educator doing remote learning with her students. I asked her opinion about the weather and she said it was very cold and my son wouldn't be missing anything if he didn't go to school that day. I knew I had already made up my mind not to take him to school, I just kinda wanted a second opinion lol.

Most of the time, we know the answer to the questions in our hearts  but we are always seeking for these answers outside of us. I believe we should all learn to trust the guidance within us more.

Let me get to the miracle part. For the rest of the week, my battery needed to be jumped by a running car in order to come alive. Well, a couple of days ago, I woke up, meditated, prayed and fed the kids breakfast. I was looking forward to have help starting my battery from a neighbor but was so surprised when I pressed the button on my car keys and my car came alive. I put the key in the ignition and it started. I celebrated like I had just won a lottery. It was a MIRACLE!!! My car started. I didn't need help getting it jumped. God is good!! So many other amazing things happened that day. Why am I sharing this with you? We are programmed to expect bad things to happen and because we expect bad things to happen, we live our lives planning and preparing for them and they happen. We truly don't live when we do this. There's no joy in a life lived expecting something bad to happen. I, for some reason have always looked for the miracle in everything. No matter how difficult or disappointing it may seem, I always look for something in it that brings me hope. I encourage you to do the same. Live your life each day as though it is a miracle and you will experience miracles!

Thank you for reading this. I hope you found some inspiration here.

Seasons greetings,

Maryam

OUR CHRISTMAS PHOTO PORTRAITS STORY

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for checking out my blog today.
Christmas is almost here and everyone is scrambling to take their annual family Christmas picture and I am not exempted from that list. In fact, I started thinking about my Holiday picture as far back as early October. LOL!

I actually asked a photographer in my community how much it would cost to take family Holiday pictures and I was quoted $150 for HD Digital copies with no outfit changes for the family. I was excited to do it but this photographer is very good and highly booked. SO the thought dawned on me that I could take the pictures myself. After all, I am a blogger, I take pictures all the time.

I had one fear though and that was "how would the kids respond to taking these photos?" See, my kids don't mind filming but when it comes to sitting down for an organized photo session, Le'Veon might let me take a photo or two but Zozo is harder to convince.

A few hours before the session, I told them we were taking some Christmas pictures. I still had a bit of nervousness as to how it would all go. But when it was time, all that nervousness I had vanished. Le'Veon and Zoe were so co-operative that I almost forgot they were the same babies. LOL! Christmas time is truly a time of miracles. This photo session, was my first Christmas miracle with my children.
I still wonder how other mom bloggers do it. How do they get their kids to take those adorable photos? I  often wonder because my kids have their own minds, I have to always prepare myself for whatever response I get from them. It is fascinating to me. And again, I have always wanted to have babies who have their own minds and are not afraid to express their minds. Let's just say I got exactly what I asked for in my babies.
Thank you for reading my blog to the end. I hope this season is filled with unexpected miracles for you and your family.

With gratitude,
Maryam

CHRISTMAS IS NOT PAGANISM|| I WILL ALWAYS CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for joining me today.

So it's officially Christmas season and I am very excited to live it up this season because is is a season like no other. With the year that we've had all over the world, I believe we are in the season of miracles. This is a season of Miracles.

A few days ago, I received a comment from one of my Instagram followers; here's my Instagram: @maryamsjoyfullifeblog; the comment simply put is the idea that Christmas is a pagan tradition. I told her who cares what people say. Enjoy Christmas. The reason why there's so much confusion in the world is because of the many negative beliefs created by ignorant people. Most people postpone their celebration and joy to a later date or even believe that their happiness will happen when they die and go to Heaven. It is absolutely ignorant and stupid to think that God wants us to be unhappy until we die.

Watch my video for more on my opinion.

Anyways, back to Christmas celebration. Christmas is a season of celebration and miracles. Jesus Christ of Nazareth was introduced to us in a season like we are in. I believe in the power of this season and I believe we should surrender to the celebration of this season. Miracles happen when we let go and let God. Letting God in is living each moment with joy and celebration. The more we can stay in this space of celebration and joy, the more of these experiences we draw to ourselves. For those opposing celebration, I will not let you steal my joy.

Life is a blessing and a miracle but unfortunately not everyone treats life like this. Most people treat life like a burden and like they are planning their funeral each day. The greatest secret I ever learned is that when you treat life as a miracle, you experience the miraculous. If you treat life as a burden, you experience burdensome situations. In both cases, you're making a choice.

Christmas is a beautiful season and I am going to tap into the miracle of this season.

Jesus is the reason for this season and I am the reason He came to this world. The Bible tells me in John 3:16 that God so loved the world that He gave His Only begotten son that whosoever believed in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Jesus made his entrance in a season like this and I am going to celebrate Him and be grateful for this season. He is the greatest present that the world ever received and now we share presents with friends and families all over the world. I feel so blessed and fortunate to be alive and be born in a season like this.

Life is beautiful and I encourage you to make a decision to see the beauty in it.

With gratitude,

Maryam

YES, SHE IS A WARRIOR

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you've had an amazing day and didn't let anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for checking out my blog today.

I know a woman who has a lot on her plate. She is a mother- a single mother and she is a full-time worker. She is a dreamer and a realist. She wakes up early everyday to get ready for her day. She knows fully well that if she doesn't pray and speak life into her day before getting started on her chores and then job, she was not going to have a good day. Her children mean the world to her and she pours life into them each morning, during the day and at night. She knows that there are many women like her in the world but what sets her apart is the faith she has in God to provide, guide and lead her through her journey each day.

She is a mother, a doctor, a cleaner, a cook, an entrepreneur, a business woman and a dreamer. Yes, she is a dreamer. She often finds herself dreaming about beautiful things, places, experiences, people and opportunities. She believes in the power of the imagination. She is convinced that if she can see it in her mind, she can hold it in her hands. She believes in the power of a clear imagination. She is a strong woman. She is fearless, dedicated, unstoppable and full of faith. Even when she is faced with an opposition, she doesn't back down! She keeps moving in the direction of her dreams. What a woman she is. Many call her inspiring, some call her full of faith, others call her strong but she calls herself a "WARRIOR!"

Only a warrior never quits. Only a warrior keeps moving in spite of  setbacks. A warrior always finds a way. Yes, this woman is a WARRIOR!

To every single mom out there, you are WARRIORS!!

Sending love and light to every single mother in the world! You got this!

With gratitude,

Maryam

Good morning wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for checking out my blog today.

I have received a few emails about he work from home positions my company is currently hiring for. I just wanted to use this post to share a few details and expectations as well as share the link to those sweet folks who haven't applied yet.

First, these positions are customer service but from remote locations. You will have all the tools and support you need to get ready for your job. We pay for your training and pay you upon completion of your training.

While in training, you will start helping customers as part of your class expectations. YOU WILL BE PAID FOR EVERY CALL YOU TAKE. It is pretty amazing. Now, before we proceed with you, we will need some important information from you for our background check and also you will be undergoing drug screening. I am aware that since I am a public figure, there are stupid rumors about me taking money for this positions. Let me make it loud and clear, I am presenting these opportunities to those who need jobs right now in this changing world. You are not paying me for these opportunities. However, you will only get hired if you qualify and that happens after you pass background checks and drug screening.

I will be posting more updates as we get on with the process. In the mean time, I wish you all the best!

IT IS THANKSGIVING DAY AND I AM SO THANKFUL

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having an amazing time with family and friends. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for checking out my blog today.

So today is Thanksgiving day and I am very grateful to be a part of it and for God's protection of me and my children.

This is my favorite Thanksgiving dessert. A slice of pecan pie with a scoop of premium vanilla ice cream. It is heaven on a plate and to your taste buds lol.

My Christmas Pjs are from walmart.com

I am grateful for today. God has been faithful to me. I want to stop every now and then to give thanks for good health and Divine protection over me and my children. God has truly been good to us. For most of us, it is normal for us to be grateful only when something extraordinary happens to us but that's not the only time we ought to show gratitude. I am learning to show gratitude when nothing crazy happens. I am learning to treat each moment as a miracle because there are people going through very difficult seasons right now but not me.

See, I am learning each passing day that the more things I can give thanks for, the more things I will have to give thanks for. Sometimes I get blinded by the things I don't yet have and stand in my own way of being happy in the moment. Life as I am learning to live it, is lived in the moment. Happiness and joy shouldn't be postponed to a later date. It is in the NOW! I am learning more each day to count my blessings and focus on positivity. I have experienced a transformation in my thoughts since I started intentionally focusing on the good.

Today being Thanksgiving Day is not the ONLY day of the year we give thanks for our many blessings. I believe giving thanks should be a part of our daily practice. Our human conditioning is so deceptive. It steals our joy of the present by ushering thoughts of past failures or future uncertainties and the moment we buy into these deceptions, we become victims to circumstances instead of creators of the type of experience we would truly love.

I am making the commitment each day, to be very aware of the thoughts I let take root in me. I know how it feels to dwell on uncertainties and past failures. It SUCKS! In my experience, you only produce more the same fruits if you focus on the seeds of past failures and uncertainties. Now, I just focus on the joy and beauty of each moment and of course what I would really love. Each day, I take a few moments to write and think about my goals. I notice the more I do this, the better I feel and the more excited the future seems. In fact, I bring the future to me whenever I get excited about my goals. It's like I am already the person I want to be and it is amazing. Try it!

I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving because I enjoyed mine. I am grateful for me, my children and for you.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

With gratitude,

Maryam

MY GO TO BEVERAGES FOR THANKSGIVING

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having an amazing day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for checking out my blog today. I want to welcome my new blog subscribers. Thank you for being a part of my world. You're amazing.

Thanksgiving is in two days. I have been sharing my favorite Thanksgiving foods on the menu with you all since Sunday. I have also shared one of the major reasons I am thankful this year with you all. In today's blog post, I will be sharing my favorite beverages with you all. You can't have all that delicious food without some liquid to wash it down your digestive tract lol. Here's my favorite list of beverages to drink during Thanksgiving. Enjoy!

Orange Juice

This beautiful picture is taken from healthline.com I couldn't resist the perfection and had to share it.

Orange juice is amazing! Not only is it bursting with vitamin C and fiber, it is just the perfect amount of acidity for your digestive tract. I love orange juice with my breakfasts and on Thanksgiving. It is amazing. It has to be a little chilled, not too chilled to catch a cold lol. Depending on what rejoin you live, you serve it with the perfect level of chillness and you have a wonderful feast. I love orange juice. You can buy a gallon at your neighborhood grocery store or get some fresh oranges and squeeze the juice yourself. Either way, it's wonderful.

Lemonade

This refreshing picture is from thespruceeats.com and it gives me some homey vibes.

Did someone just say "Lemonade?" Lemonade is your go to when you're looking for instant refreshment before diving into your Thanksgiving feast. Lemonade prepares your taste pallets for the amazing feast. Lemonade is not just great during the summer time, it is amazing during Thanksgiving also. The tang of a lemon and the sweetness of sugar in a cup of water can do magic to your whole system. I love lemonade. If you want to assist your metabolism, lemonade can do that. Lemons have cleansing qualities to them. They clear your system of toxic chemicals and keep your immune system in great shape. I love lemons and lemonade.

Water

Nothing beats water. Water is life, water is joy and water is health. If you have any reserved feelings about lemonade or orange juice, just go with plain and simple water. I love water. You can get tired of drinking lemonade or orange juice, but never water. At least hope not. Water is the very essence of life and I will be drinking lots of it during Thanksgiving and everyday. The power of water can never be overstated. When your head is feeling cobwebby, a simple cup of water can clear it. Always have a cup or bottle of water handy. It will do you a whole lotta good.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving.

With love and gratitude,

Maryam

STILL SHARING MY THANKSGIVING MENU|| DESSERTS

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. I hope you're all having a great day and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to another yummy blog post. Today is a beautiful day. It's evening time in Hampton, Georgia and I couldn't end the day without sharing my favorite deserts for Thanksgiving. I intend to go all out this year and by the grace of God I will.

As I look back on all that has happened in my life this year, I am grateful that I am alive to share my menu with you all. God has been very Gracious to me and my heart is full of love and gratitude. Here we go:

Chocolate Brownie

This mouthwatering picture is from Food52.com

I don't eat brownies all the time but this Thanksgiving, I will be helping myself to some really yummy  ooey gooey homemade brownies straight from MooYam's Joyful kitchen lol. That's my kitchen's nickname by the way. I intend to savor every bite of my homemade brownie. I can already tell that it will be one for the books.

Pecan Pie

This amazing looking pecan pie is from Barbarabakes.com

I love pecan pies at Thanksgiving. I especially love it with a scoop of vanilla Ice cream. It is the ultimate decadent dessert after your main course at Thanksgiving. It gives your taste buds a run for their money. I must say that this Thanksgiving is one I will not forget for a long time.

A Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream over Pecan Pie

This amazing picture from Iambaker.net of a scoop of vanilla  ice cream over a slice of pecan pie truly conveys the message to my taste buds and does pecan pie food justice. MMMMM yum!!

I think I have fed your eyes enough sugar for the night. I hope you got a little bit of inspiration from today's dessert menu.

Until next time.

Don't let anyone steal your joy!

With gratitude,

Maryam

HUNTER'S BROTHER NEARLY PUNCHED ME BUT GOT THE WALL INCHES FROM ME

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life Blog. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you all for stopping by today.

This joy is from God. We are grateful for our many blessings. We've seen hell but hell didn't consume us. God is and always will be our shelter and preserver.

There are many things I am thankful for today. One of the major things I am thankful for is that I and my children are no longer in bondage at Big Daddy's house. Big Daddy is Hunter's adopted father. His real name is Donnie but I am so used to calling him by his nickname that I learned from Hunter.

One particular reason I am very happy is that my children no longer have to go to bed under a loud, negative and profane environment. While we were living there, Adam; Hunter's brother slept during the day and stayed up all night playing video games. His bedroom and gaming station was setup by the wall where Le'Veon and Zoe lay their heads every night. He would often cuss out loud and bang the table when something happened in the game that upset him. I had no problem with his gaming but I had a lot of issues with his profanity and banging when the kids are trying to sleep. I asked Hunter many times to ask him to be quieter. Hunter's response was Adam wouldn't listen because he doesn't listen to anyone. Hunter would say he was a dumbass and didn't listen to anyone. See, that was true. Adam didn't listen to his dad either. I got tired of asking Hunter to speak to Adam about his noise and profanity. I did it myself. I started asking him politely to lower his voice and reduce the profanity because I didn't want my kids picking it up.

He would slam his door at me and go on cussing and banging in his room. That didn't stop me from asking him the next time to keep it quieter. Well, one night in particular, this was two weeks before I let the world in on what I was going through. I walked up to Adam's door and asked him to please lower his voice because the kids were sleeping. He just blew up on me. He got up to attack me but his girlfriend held him back. I didn't move from where I was standing. I was ready for him to punch me like he said he would. He asked me to get out of his father's house and I said I promised him that I would. I also reminded him that Hunter was paying his dad rent for us to be there. See, Adam doesn't know how to hide his emotions or pretend. Hunter is a master pretender. Adam had been there when Hunter and his dad had said all kinds of derogatory and disrespectful things behind my back. They could pretend to my face but I felt the energy and I knew what was up. Anyways, Adam came out of his room and punched a hole in the wall not 5 inches away from me.

Hunter heard the loud noise and came to see what was up. The reason I am sharing is because I am so happy where I am at now. My children are happier and the only noise heard around here is their noise. I haven't had to ask anyone to watch their words or noise around my kids. I am at peace. Sometimes when Hunter visits, that's when negativity shows up but other than that, we are in a more positive and peaceful environment and for that I am very grateful.

You may be going through a similar situation right now, I pray for you today. May the God of Heaven send you helpers to fight for you and pull you out of the pit like he did for me in Jesus Name. Amen!!

This is truly an amazing Thanksgiving. I am counting my blessings. My YouTube channel is a blessings. My blog is a blessing and my online store www.maryamsjoyfullifeapparel.com is a blessing. My virtual customers solution job is a blessing. I can't count all my blessings without getting emotional. God is good!

With gratitude,

Maryam

THANKSGIVING WILL BE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR|| SHARING MY MENU

What's up wonderful, amazing, sweet and lovely people. How are you all doing today? I hope you're all having a great day today and are not letting anyone steal your joy. Welcome to Maryam's Joyful Life blog. Today is a beautiful day. Thank you for checking out my blog. It means a lot to me.

So Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It is in 4 days. Oh how so much has changed in my life for the better since last Thanksgiving. God is faithful. This year, I am thankful for so many things. The major reason is that my children and I are in a better and safer environment. Life is good and it is only going to keep getting better. Sometimes when hard things happen in our lives, we tend to question it or cry about it but I have learned that the best way to handle it is to harvest the good and move on.

Life is beautiful and it's beauty can only be enjoyed by those who choose to see it, focus on it and believe it. I have decided and keep deciding everyday to see the beauty of life, to look for it, to believe in it and to focus on it. I always have a choice. You do too. It doesn't matter how hard your life may be right now, it's a change of mind that will usher in a new experience for you. I encourage you to change your mind today. I promise when you do, you will start living a different life.

So, I actually sat on my computer to share my menu with you all but ended up encouraging you to see the beauty in life. LOL! Sometimes, I feel like I came to this world to elevate the spirit of people through my words and experience. Okay, I'm going to share my menu now. This year, I am making the following dishes.

Turkey

Turkey is the main dish for Thanksgiving. You have to have turkey and it must be perfectly roasted. I have had many mishaps when it comes to roasting the perfect turkey over the years but I can now proudly say that I have mastered my craft in turkey roasting and seasoning. Here's a picture of a perfectly roasted turkey from Cookthestory.com Christine Pittman did an amazing job with this one and I couldn't resist sharing this picture with you.

Mashed Potato

Mashed potatoes are a must when it comes to Thanksgiving meals for me. Here's a picture from Taste.com.au to set off my taste buds and creativity while I prepare for Thanksgiving.

Mac & Cheese

Mac and cheese, not just any kind but oven baked mac and cheese will take your Thanksgiving food experience to another level. I intend to put in the effort to make a memorable Mac & Cheese this year. Here is a picture from tablespoon.com to spark your interest because it sure sparked mine.

Salad

I love a good salad. I have to have my salad for Thanksgiving. This year I will be making a very colorful salad for myself. While I was browsing on Google for inspiration, I came across this picture of a very well tossed salad by food.ndtv.com. This is a glorious looking salad and I can't wait to make one like this.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my post today. Please subscribe to keep up with me.

Until next post, stay safe and keep your mind at rest.

With gratitude,

Maryam
